What is sacred interior design?
On a basic level, sacred interior design means that a sacred approach is taken when designing a space. The sacred describes something that is dedicated to or worthy of devotion; or inspires awe or reverence. In my view, the sacred exists anywhere soul resides. We can all feel the soul’s presence when listening to great music, when walking into a temple or church, or in those quiet awe-inspiring moments in nature. These are experiences and spaces that are designed to evoke a deeper presence and connectedness to ourselves and life around us.
Interior design can be a purely aesthetic and rather shallow pursuit or, if one engages the process in a more mindful, curious, intentional, and sacred way, it can be a profound process of honoring who we are, our deepest values, our healing, and our evolution. Contrary to the cookie cutter, corporate-style trends prevalent on Pinterest and in style magazines, my approach to interior design utilizes ancient feng shui principles, ritual ceremony, mindful intention setting, connection to your land, and a guided discovery process that will engage your creativity and ultimately result in a home that reflects your unique soul.

Sacred Design includes Nature
We are biologically wired to be in nature most of the time, and I believe many of our personal and social problems are rooted in the fact that most people spend the majority of their time indoors, disconnected from nature. Our bodies and nervous systems aren’t being nourished by the elements in the way they have throughout most of our history.
When our bodies are surrounded by the earth’s elements (stone, wood, earth—plants, flowers, natural fibers, water, metal, and space), they naturally relax and feel a sense of balance, belonging and Home.
This is why my design style is “Biophillic,” literally meaning “love of life.” Biophillic design brings natural elements into a space and mimics the curves and shapes found in nature to help make it more attractive and resonant with the senses. This creates a more integrated, relaxing, comforting and restorative environment.
From there we offer a mindful and holistic styling approach that includes personal, meaningful, and symbolic elements that reflect your deepest values— who you truly are, as well as who you are becoming.
Today, more than ever, it’s important to surround ourselves with what we know is most true and meaningful. Nature and the soul are the truest things I know. Nature has and always will be our real home, and our bodies and souls thrive in her embrace. Honoring nature and what is most sacred to us in our homes can turn them into touchstones of daily reminders of what is real, who we are, and what matters most to us.
Finally, I help my clients deepen their relationship to the land on which their home sits, allowing that relationship to support and guide, not just their design decisions, but life decisions.

E-design package: This package includes a welcome packet, design consultation and intention setting ceremony over Zoom, a guided meditation audio to view your ideal space from a higher realm, journal prompts to deepen your awareness of your unique soul-style, a comprehensive design development plan that includes: space planning and furniture layout with Feng Shui bagua map, a style board with furniture and fabric selections, window treatments, wall art, rugs, lighting, and a 3D rendering of the space, and finally a virtual celebration and space blessing ceremony. Full Design package: (for Sonoma county, CA locals only) This package includes a welcome packet, in-person consultation with intention setting ceremony on your land, clearing ritual, a guided meditation audio to view your ideal space from a higher realm, a Soul Discovery journal with prompts to deepen your awareness of your values, what archetypes are present within you, and emerging, as well as identify your unique soul-style (natural elements you are drawn to—natural fibers, types of metals, stones/crystals, animal guides, plants, colors that reflect your soul’s essence, etc.), as well as all thoughts, insights, inspirations, ideas, drawings, questions, and concerns that arise during the design journey. It also includes a design development plan including a furniture layout with bagua map, and up to two style boards with furniture and fabric selections, window treatments, wall art, rugs, lighting, styling, a high quality 3D rendering, 2 coaching calls, a two hour shopping trip, and finally a celebration and blessing ceremony at completion. Add-ons (hourly $150 rate applies):
Shopping trips: For 2-3 hours I will accompany you to my favorite local shops and yours to find the perfect furniture and decor for your home.
Energetic house clearing, intention setting, and blessing: (1.5-2 hours in person) Using sound, a clearing ritual, prayers and intention setting, we will establish an energetically clean, fresh, and positive imprint in your home. We will also bless the land upon which it sits with the presence of all in the natural realm who wish you well. Great to do prior to moving into a new space, after a remodel, or when just needing to eliminate stagnant areas and freshen things up!
Plant identification: (1.5-2 hour in-person) It is said that the plants we need will naturally grow around us. Learn what plants are growing around you and how they are allies there to support you and your family’s well being and how to work with them.
Land divination: (2-3 hours in-person) Learn what elementals/nature spirits inhabit the land underneath and around your home and how you can come into a harmonious relationship with them through specific rituals.
Crystal gridding: (1.5-2 hours- in-person) Crystals can greatly enhance the balance and harmony of a space as well as offer protection. Learn how placing crystal grids in and around your home can support you as well as offer protection.
Altar Making class: (1 hour personal class over Zoom) Altars offer us designated sacred spaces in our homes to come into deeper connection with ourselves and our higher power.
Sacred Interiors life coaching. I offer transformational coaching programs that explore where design, spirituality, and personal growth meet. With the help of the Feng Shui Bagua map and other coaching tools, we’ll identify the areas of your life that are thriving and the areas where there may be stagnation or blockages and see what is happening in those corresponding energy centers in your home. The home acts as a mirror of the self offering us clues as to what is happening in our relationships, career, family dynamics, health, and more. We’ll customize a plan to work on each area that may be blocked or stagnant to get it flowing again. Over a 3 month period we will co-design a home and life where your relationships, health, abundance, and purpose can flourish! This package includes weekly 1 hour coaching calls, intention setting ceremony, site/home visit, and a collaborative home/life redesign plan with a weekly task planner, clearing, protection, and land connection rituals, grounding meditations, altar making, crystal gridding class and design suggestions based on bagua mapping of your home. $595/month.
